How the estimate works
For every period, annual vacation weeks are multiplied by working days per week. The calculator splits periods at calendar-year boundaries, distributes each year's entitlement across the selected working days in that year and accrues it only on those days within the period. Each daily accrual is rounded to a whole second before the period and yearly totals are added up.
